Mrs. Eplin,
Please accept this letter as our 2023 inspection letter for the above referenced Bio-retention facility. On December
6 staff from our firm made a site visit and evaluated the following features:
Vegetation
Adequate vegetation exists around and in the basin. Recommended to mow the site two times yearly.
Side Slopes
No Areas of bare soil and/or erosive gullies have formed.Slopes have established vegetation.
Retention Area
Area shows signs of proper drainage and function of bioretention basin. Area was dry and free of any problems.
Inlet Device
The pipe is not clogged,cracked or otherwise damaged. No erosion has occurred.
Outlet Device
Drain is free of any debris and no damage.There is slight sediment at bottom of drain but no water,which shows
that the basin is functioning properly.
Stormwater Receiving Network
Pipes are not clogged or damaged. No signs of erosion.
Internal Drainage Network(underdrain)
No problems can be seen and all signs in and around basin show that they are functioning properly.
The Pretreatment Area
No pretreatment area.
Soils and Mulch Layer
Soils are stable and have good vegetation. No mulch is used on the site.
Perimeter of the cell
The perimeter has good vegetation and no erosive gullies.
