Box 431 Belmont, North Carolina 28012 Subject: Acknowledgement of Receipt - 2023 Annual Reports City of Belmont WWTP - Permit WQ0003281 City of Belmont DCAR Permit WQ0019504 Residuals Land Application and Distribution Permits Gaston County Dear Mr. Miller: The referenced Annual Reports were received by electronic submittal. Permit WQ0019504 indicates no distribution of residuals for 2023. Permit WQ0003281 had Land Application on field BT-9-1 for 97.2 Dry tons over 42.4 permitted acres. Fecal density and 30-day Bench methods were employed to obtain adequate reduction. Although the data appears to be correct, calculations to display the processes were not presented in the class "B" product Annual Report. Future Annual Reports should include calculations to display how these values were derived. The MRO is attaching a PDF document that describes the requirements for the submission of Annual Reports. By MRO spreadsheet calculations, this would result in 91.42 lbs. PAN/Acre applied (vs. the reported 97.2 lbs. PAN/Acre), still well below the 211 lbs. PAN/Acre limit.
