I apologize, I had forgotten you and I already had that conversation Therefore, ignore my previous email that had the example  attached (Fox Run Map). One thing I notice here, is that there is no vegetation plot in Zone C showing vegetative success criteria. I know this is primarily for Kristin, but there will need to be another plot established in Zone C in order for the plots to be representative of the entire buffer mitigation area where credits are being sought. Also, it appears that UT 1 is not going to be included, which would explain some of my questions onsite along UT1. Thanks again! Thanks for accommodating us and being a wealth of knowledge. I will be looking out for the new figures. DMS should have a good idea of what I’m looking for regarding the buffer credit asset map/s. But, I have provided an example as well just in case (attached). One big thing we mentioned onsite was the ditch feeding into the project and how that didn’t meet the diffuse flow requirement in the buffer mitigation rule 15A NCAC 02B .0295 (l) (3). I have attached the link to the rule for you so you can see the language on diffuse flow in (l) (3) of the Rule. http://reports.oah.state.nc.us/ncac/title%2015a%20-%20environmental%20quality/chapter%2002%20- %20environmental%20management/subchapter%20b/15a%20ncac%2002b%20.0295.pdf . I think it was certainly time well spent and I appreciate the buffer schooling. We will be providing an updated figured to DMS showing our proposed Buffer Mitigation areas and the credit amounts generated soon. In the meantime, if I can answer any questions regarding the site, please don’t hesitate to shoot me an email or give me a call. Thanks again and look forward to talking with you soon. -Jake ****Please note my new direct telephone number as of 11/2/15**** Jacob “Jake” Byers, PE | NC Ecosystem Services Manager | Michael Baker Engineering, Inc., a unit of Michael Baker International 797 Haywood Road, Suite 201 | Asheville, North Carolina 28806 | \[O\] 828-412-6101 | \[M\] 919-259-4814 jbyers@mbakerintl.com | www.mbakerintl.com 2 Conservation Easement _ Vegetation Plot: (Year 1 Density/Planted Density) Restored Wetland Area (acreage removed from buffer totals) As -Built Stream Restoration: Headwater Valley No Mitigation Credit Buffer Zone A: 0-50 ft (228,728 ft2 or 5.3 ac, 1:1 ratio = 228,728 BMUs) Buffer Zone B: 51-100 ft (143,084 ft2 or 3.3 ac, 1:1 ratio = 143,084 BMUs) ® Buffer Zone C: 101-200 ft (82,393 ft2 or 1.9 ac, 2:1 ratio = 41,197 BMUs) UT 2 2,309 SMUs Wetland Area A A 1.1 acres Data Collected: Dec 2014 Aerial Photo Date: 2012 NC OneMap, NC Center for Geographic Info, rmationand,Ana'lysis, NC 911 8 a dt 0 250 500 N Figure 2 BakerMichael Feet Current Condition Plan View St. Clair Creek Site N T E R N A T 1 0 N A L DMS Project # 95015 Beaufort County, NC
