It looks like the old ATC allowing a 15,000 gal treatment system for a 20,000 gpd permitted flow was not correct (undersized), so hopefully you will rectify this in your ATC review. Then NPDES would modify the Supplement Sheet to reflect what is currently approved by the ATC. If the permittee does not want to rebuild for 0.02 MGD, they can request a smaller permitted flow (e.g., 0.015 MGD) from NPDES, and then seek an ATC to meet that flow/permit limits. Hope this helps. Coffey, Steve wrote: Hi Tom, The above mentioned plant is owned by the US Forest Service and we have received an ATC for a total replacement of the plant. I have some questions regarding the NPDES permit. Under item 1. on the Supplement to Permit Cover Sheet, the following two bullets are of interest for this 0.02 MGD plant: 15,000-gallon extended aeration treatment system 30,000-gallon settling basin Do you intend that these items in the permit be followed strictly, or is there an opportunity to deviate from these components as listed? Can you provide some background on this to help us determine how to interpret this information as we review the design of the W WTP?
