RE: Hatcher Creek development- Fast-Track Application Modification
State Permit No.:WQ0042923
WR Project No. 0200058.00
Dear,Mr.Simpson:
On behalf of Hatcher Creek, LLC please find attached documentation in support of a modified Fast-Track
Application(FTA 10-231)for the pump station for the above referenced project. As noted in the application,
this modification consists of decreasing the pumping capacity of the pump station from 475 gpm to 340 gpm.
The reason for the modification is that at the time of pump testing it was brought to our attention, the pumps
were pumping much less than designed. Upon investigation, we were informed that the provided tie in
pressure to an existing 8" Town of Oxford force main was greater than reported. The pump station was
initially designed with a head of 101 feet and after testing the head appears to be 108 feet. Likewise, the
pump station was designed with a peaking factor of 3.68 for the pumping rate of 475-gpm and after testing
the peaking factor has dropped to 3.35 for the 340-gpm pumping rate. The proposed modification meets all
NCDEQ-DWR minimum design criteria for pump station design.
Included with this submittal is one original and one copy of the items listed below:
• Original Application Form(FTA 10-231)
• Copy of Application Form(FTA 10-231)
• Application Fee- Check in the Amount of$600.00
Please advise if you require additional information or have any questions concerning this submittal.
Sincerely
WithersRavenel
