Subject: NPDES Permit Modification
NPDES Permit No. NCO074233
Catawba Co. Blackburn Middle Sch
Catawba County
Dear Dr. Floyd:
On July 24, 1995, the Division of Environmental Management issued NPDES Permit
No. NCO074233 to the Catawba County Board of Education. A review of the permit has
indicated that an error was inadvertently made in the permit. Accordingly, we are
forwarding herewith modifications to the subject permit to correct the error. These permit
modifications are to the effluent pages. The requirement for monitoring dissolved oxygen
in the effluent has been removed from the permit.
Please find enclosed the amended effluent sheets which should be inserted into your
permit. The old pages should be discarded. All other terms and conditions contained in the
original permit remain unchanged and in full effect. These permit modifications are issued
pursuant to the requirements of North Carolina General Statutes 143-215.1 and the
Memorandum of Agreement between North Carolina and the U. S. Environmental
Protection Agency.
If you have any questions concerning these permit modifications, please contact
Mr. Charles Alvarez at telephone number (919) 733-5083, extension 553.
Sincerely,
Preston Howard, Jr., P.E.
