From the new manhole, 8-inch DIP will connect to the existing manhole along Federal Dr. The project site is located on 732 S Chimney Rock Rd and is within Greensboro City Limits. Due to the location of the closest sanitary sewer manhole, approximately 200 feet south from the intersection of S Chimney Rock Rd (SR 1554) & Federal Dr, the sanitary sewer will cross city limits from the City of Greensboro to the City of High Point for wastewater treatment. The as -built documents from the City of High Point show that the existing pipe connecting to the manhole, where the new pipe will connect, has a minimum cover of 1.8 ft. Since the minimum cover requirement of 36" for nonferrous pipe is not met, ductile iron pipe (DIP) was utilized for the new 8-inch pipe connection to the manhole to comply with the specifications outlined in section 02T.0305(g). The application package includes: • One original set of stamped full-sized (30"x42") plans • One copy set of stamped full-sized plans • The Flow Tracking for Sewer Extension (FTSE) • A check of $600 payable to the NCDEQ • Colonial Pipeline Company's business registration within North Carolina • An 8.5 x 11-inch USGS Topographic Map • Authorization of 404 Nationwide Permit 12.
