The Parcel was planted in March 2024 in accordance with the approved Bank Parcel Development Package dated December 21, 2023 (the BPDP). Planting preparation included collapsed shed removal, bushhogging, and native seeding. Bushhogging was conducted following the corn harvest in October 2023. Invasive species, including privet and chinaberry, were treated in the preservation, enhancement, and swamp restoration areas starting March 5, 2024 before planting. Livestaking was also performed on March 5, 2024. Shed removal and proper disposal was conducted from March 5-7, 2024. Native seeding was performed using a no-till drill in the former ag field on March 8, 2024. Planting was conducted on March 11, 2024, and is described in more detail below. 2.0 Figures Representing all Riparian Restoration and Preservation Activities See Figure 8 – Planting Workplan from the BPDP attached. Planting areas are labeled as “Swamp Wetland Restoration,” “Swamp Wetland Enhancement,” and “Upland Restoration.” Invasive treatment activities were conducted in both the areas labeled as “Privet Management Area” and “Invasive Treatment Area.” Livestaking was conducted on 1,000 linear feet of the left bank of UT1 where indicated in yellow on the figure. 3.0 Figures Representing the Location of All Monitoring Plots Installed Eight monitoring plots were installed per Figure 10 from the BPDP attached. The plot corners were marked with t-posts, and planted stems were marked with pin flags. The surveyor will locate the plot corners for the As-Built Report. 4.0 Detailed Planting Plan (Type, Density, Modifications from BPDP) The following 12 species and quantities were planted in the riparian restoration areas, at a density of 533 stems/acre, exceeding the BPDP density of 529 stems/ac. Additionally, white electric tape was used to make easement boundaries more clear near the fenced pasture on the northern property boundary. 6.0 Any Major Changes to Easement Boundary or Credits The footprint of one of the removed sheds in the northern preservation area is approximately 40-feet by 40-feet. After removal, RestorEcology decided to seed the area with native seed and plant it with bareroot trees. RestorEcology intends to survey the area for the As-Built Report and request buffer restoration credit in this footprint if approved by the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR). 0 0.10.05 Km 0 200100Feet Coordinate System: NAD 1983 2011 StatePlane North Carolina FIPS 3200 Ft US 2023 Parcel: Brooks Swamp Figure 8: Planting Workplan Esri Community Maps Contributors, City of Goldsboro, State of North Carolina DOT, © OpenStreetMap, Microsoft, Esri, HERE, Garmin, SafeGraph, GeoTechnologies, Inc, METI/NASA, USGS, EPA, NPS, US Census Bureau, USDA, NC CGIA, Maxar, Microsoft Legend Treeline Top of Bank Conservation Easement Access Easement Gravel) Livestaking (1,000 LF, Left Bank Only) Invasive Treatment Area Privet Management Area Planting Zones Swamp Wetland Enhancement Swamp Wetland Restoration Upland Restoration UT1 UT2 Two collapsed sheds to remove
