Mr. Boss,

The wastewater treatment plant was found to be in violation of the SOC for the month of
December. Upon review of the data, it was found that we were out of compliance for the
following, weekly TSS, Monthly TSS, weekly BOD and monthly BOD. This is due to the
continuing problem with the shallow secondary clarifiers. This caused an upset in the clarifiers
and allowed solids to pass through. The most western situated clarifier frame broke, with the
siphon part constructed out of aluminum and the position of the break, it has made fixing the
siphon very difficult. We are working on a temporary fix and hope to have the clarifier back in
operation soon. Work on replacing the sludge removal system in the clarifiers is scheduled to
begin in the next 2 weeks. Should you need any further explanation or have any questions please
