- Based on the submitted survey and soil report, the separation between the bottom of bioretention cell 4 and the
seasonally high water table (SHWT) is only 1 -foot. For cell 4 only, please reduce the total soil media depth from 2' to
V- 8" and reduce the underdrain gravel envelope from 10" to 8". This will bring the bottom elevation of the
gravel/underdrain layer to 2580.45 and provide IS of separation from the SWHT. DWR will waive the 2' separation
requirement for this cell. Please update the bioretention cell 4 bottom elevation on the plan sheet and the
bioretention cross section detail for cell 4. A note on the existing cross section is sufficient.
