Project length is approsimately 0.12 miles. Proposed right-of-way is 50 feet from either side of the centerline and the existing right-of-way is 30 feet. There will be an off-site detour route of 5 miles. SUMMARY OF HIST012IC ARCffiCTECTURE AND LANDSCAPES REVIEW Description of review nctivities, resu/ts, anrl coi:clrrsions: Review of HPO quad maps, FIPOweb GIS mapping, historic designations roster, and indexes was conducted on 8/5/13. Based on this review, there are no esisting NR, SL, LD, DE, or SS properties in the Area of Potential Effccts (APE). Built in 1955, Bridge No. 23 is not eligible for listing to the Natioual Register of Historic Places (NRHP) according to the NCDOT Historic I3ridge Inventory. Orange County GIS mapping and property records revealed one property over the age of fifty years old near the project APE, a ca. 1948 house and outbuildings, howevcr this property is outside of the APE sitting approximately 730 feet west of Bridge No. 23. Fuithermore, it sits far back from the roadway, approximately 480 feet. lt should not be affccted by project activities. The APE lies in the northern pa�t of Orange County noith of the Cedar Grove community and consists of mostly forested areas dotted with patches of farmland and residences. Thus, a survey is not required for this project.
