EEP Mitigation Acceptance Letter Dated May 18, 2004
The purpose of this letter is to notify you that the Ecosystem Enhancement Program
(EEP) will provide compensation for the unavoidable 267 feet of stream impacts, 0.05 acre
riverine wetland impact, and 0.47 acre non-riverine wetland impact associated with the above
referenced project. This letter replaces the acceptance letter issued on May 18, 2004.
The subject project is not listed in Exhibit 2 of the Memorandum of Agreement among
the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the North Carolina
Department of Transportation, and the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District
dated July 22, 2003; therefore, mitigation will be provided in accordance with Section X of
this Agreement.

The purpose of this letter is to notify you that the Ecosystem Enhancement Program (EEP) will
provide compensation for the subject project. Based on the information supplied by you in a letter dated
September 23, 2004, the impacts are located in CU 3040103 of the Yadkin River Basin in the Central
Piedmont Eco-Region, and are as follows:
Riverine Wetland Impacts: 0.05 acre
Non-Riverine Wetland Impacts: 0.47 acre
Stream Impacts: 267 ft.
This letter replaces the acceptance letter issued on April 30, 2004. The subject project is not
listed in Exhibit 2 of the Memorandum of Agreement among the North Carolina Department of
Environment and Natural Resources, the North Carolina Department of Transportation, and the U. S.
Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District dated July 22, 2003. However, the EEP has agreed to
provide mitigation for the subject project in advance of the original let date in accordance with Section X
of this agreement.
