Typical Cross Section Description: Two 11' wide lanes with 4' paved, 2' grassed shoulders and slideslopes that vary from Two 11' wide lanes with grass shoulders and side slopes that vary. 6:1 to 2:1. Select sections with 2'-6" curb and gutter and 6' sidewalk. Average Daily Traffic (veh/hr/day): Design/Future: Existin : 6,400 General Project Narrative: Replacement of Bridge No. 067 over Bachelor Branch on SR 1615 (Green Level West Rd.) in Wake County. The existing bridge will be replaced with a single span bridge 70' long x 39' wide bridge (out-to-out) constructed with 24" cored slabs. The proposed stormwater system on the end bridge side of the roadway will outlet outside the buffer and wetlands. This water will filter through the wetlands for treatment. The proposed stormdrain system on the begin bridge side had to outfall in the wetland becasue the entire quadrant is wetland. Pipe system outfalis within Buffer Zone 1 because locating the outlet outside the buffer would require piping down the road with the placement of an additional structure that would deepen the system and require a new ditch through the wetland to the stream to daylight the system. Project would include additional curb and gutter, pipe and structure cost at no additional treatment benefit given the wetland location.
