Subject Cripple Creek Stream and Wetland Mitigation Bank Year 5 monitoring request to discontinue hydrological
monitoring
a
As indicated in Section 6 0 of the Cripple Creek Stream and Wetland Mitigation Bank (SAW -2007-01188) Mitigation Plan,
wetland hydrology was to be monitoring for 5 years, at which time a request could be made to the IRT by the sponsor to
discontinue monitoring By e-mail dated 5 October 2015, Restoration Systems, the bank sponsor, has requested wetland
monitoring at the site be discontinued _
Records submitted by Restoration Systems indicates that the established success criteria at all six (6) groundwater gauges
was exceeded in years 2,3,4 and 5 Success criteria was met at gauges 1,3,4 and 5 but not at 2 and 6 during the first year
of monitoring The percentage of saturation for each station was higher than the reference site every year
I have attached the Year 5 monitoring report for your review and the groundwater monitoring gauge results are located in
Section 3 0
As an IRT member/representative, please reply back by December 15, 2015 and indicate whether or not you support the
discontinuation of hydrological monitoring at this site
If you have any questions, please contact me Thanks
