Dear Mr.Michelson:
On January 12,2016,the Wilmington Regional Office received a request to revise the approved plans for
Stormwater Management Permit Number SW8 011119. Currently,the downspouts of the building
adjacent to Pond 2 discharge at grade,which is causing erosion problems with the pond slope. The
approved revisions include the installation of stormwater pipes to collect the downspout discharge from
this unit and direct this runoff to the forebay of Pond 2.It has been determined that a formal permit
modification is not required for the proposed changes.We are forwarding you an approved copy of the
revised plans for your files.Please add the attached plans to the previously approved plan set.
Please be aware that all terms and conditions of the permit modified and re-issued on May 1,2015,
remain in full force and effect.Please also understand that the approval of this revision to the
approved plans for the subject State Stormwater project is done on a case-by-case basis. Any other
changes to this project must be approved through this Office prior to construction. The issuance of
this plan revision does not preclude the permittee from complying with all other applicable statutes,
rules,regulations or ordinances which may have jurisdiction over the proposed activity, and obtaining
a permit or approval prior to construction.

PROJECT NARRATIVE
THE VILLAGE AT MAYFAIRE PLAN REVISION
I. Overview
The village at Mayfaire Condominium Owners Association(COA) desires to pipe about
eight gutter downspouts at the condominium building 550 Grand Manor Court. The downspouts
presently discharge to grade and are eroding the slopes of adjacent Pond#2. We propose to pipe
from the downspout discharges to the pond forebay,thereby significantly decreasing the
potential for erosion occurring between the building and pond banks,and directing the runoff
into the pond forebay. The piping does not change the volume, area, or amount of impervious
surface draining to the pond,just the manner of transport and discharge point.
