It has a 1.3% slope and runs through urbanized areas. Floodplain benches will be constructed at the culvert’s inlet and outlet. We can form a channel as we backfill the culvert. We don’t anticipate any issues with channel stability. Will recommendations from DWQ’s study on aluminum box culverts be followed? It seems to me that maintaining the proper channel through these types of culverts was a major issue.
