Micah 4:1 Narrative description of the sludge management plan for Nantahala Village Resort & Spa: We have sand drying beds that generate very little/if any sludge to be removed on a regular basis. In the event that we need sludge removed, we contract to have it loaded and hauled out to one of two places. We can send it to Cherokee Wastewater Treatment Plant in Cherokee, NC as long as we have a small enough amount. This has been $600 a load or $40 a ton in the past and since it is closer, it is our preference. When re -sanding a bed, if the amount is more than Cherokee will take, we can send it to R&B Landfill in GA. The cost is a similar amount. When we have our tanks pumped, we contract with Sid's Septic Service.
