NCDMS Draft Mitigation Plan Comments, Further Review Required / Candy Creek
Creek Mitigation Project / Guilford County / SAW -2015-01209 (UNCLASSIFIED)
Draft Mitigation Plan Comment Memo -Candy Creek_SAW-2015-01209.pdf
The 30 -day comment review period for the Candy Creek Mitigation project (USACE AID SAW 2015-01209, DMS Project #
96315) closed on October 29, 2015. All comments that were posted on the Mitigation Plan Review Portal during the
review process are attached for your records. Additionally, comments can be reviewed on the Mitigation Plan Review
Portal (utilizing the excel option).
We have evaluated the comments generated during the review period, and determined that the concerns raised during
the review are significant enough that we cannot approve the project without first reviewing the additional information
received and any proposed revisions to the draft document to address the issues raised. Please provide responses to the
concerns, including any proposed revisions to the text of the Draft Mitigation Plan. Once we have reviewed and
concurred with the additional information, including any proposed changes, we will be able continue with the review
process and provide the IRT with notification that we intend to approve the Mitigation Plan. After approval, all revisions
will need to be included in the Final Mitigation Plan to be submitted with the PCN application. Please note that the 60 -
day intent to approve deadline is November 30, 2015. Please let us know if you need additional time to prepare a
response to these concerns so that we can adjust this deadline if necessary.
Please let us know if you have any questions about specific comments, this process, or additional information that is
requested. We will continue to coordinate with you on this project in an effort to resolve concerns quickly.
