Follow approx two miles to 1679 Woods Mtn Trail on the left. GPS is accurate to property. Please include road names and numbers, landmarks etc. 5. Describe the existing land use or condition of the site at the time of this application: * There is a home on the property, built in 1993, that is currently vacant due to me having some cosmetic updating done on it. Residential, undeveloped, etc. 6. Property Size 1.23 Acres 7. Describe proposed work (include discussion as to how hardening of shoreline has been avoided, or why it is necessary): In the area of my dock, there is a little cove that is calm aside from boat waves. Over time, the root structures of the shoreline trees in this approximate 35' stretch from the base of the dock to the rhododendron cluster to the NW is getting undermined by waves. Please describe the vegetation above the normal pool lake level/ normal water level and 50 feet landward to be impacted:* (number of trees, for instance) Native plants consisting primarily of hardwoods, pines, rhododendron, and mountain Laurel. There is no plan/expectation to remove/damage these plants, and the crowns of the shoreline trees will not be covered with back/riprap/etc. The attached sketch includes a proposed slight relocation of the dock, which is in the permitting process with Duke.
