Annual Avg Daily Traffic (veh/hr/day): Design/Future: New Location Year: NA Existin : NA Year: NA General Project Narrative: NCDOT proposes to replace the existing at-grade crossing (Crossing No:726 305F) providing access to eight residential parcels located north of the railroad near Hillsborough, (Description of Minimization of Water Orange County, NC. The crossing is located at railroad milepost Norfolk Southern / NC Railroad H 47.62, approximately 660 feet north of the intersection of Old NC 10 (SR Quality Impacts) 1710) and Greenbriar Drive. No features within the project study area have been designated as Outstanding Resource Waters (ORW ) or as trout water. There are no designated anadromous fish waters or Primary NurseryAreas (PNA), designated High Quality Waters (HQW), water supplywatersheds (WS-I or WS-II), 303-d listed waters , or monitoring sites within two miles downstream. Work includes placing 3@ 10' x 8' RCBC and a 72" RCP-IV within UT to Rhodes Creek. To minimize water quality impacts, roadway drainage will be dissipated outside of the stream's buffer zone as diffuse flow, 1- 2 ft sills will be placed within the box culvert and sills will be backfilled with native material, sediment control measures include stream bank stabilization and toe protection, and there are no proposed ditches in the wetlands.
