REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION
Dear Mr. Buckman:
On October 2, 2007 the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application dated September 24,
2007 to impact 0.97 acres of wetlands and waters as well as an unspecified amount of protected riparian
buffers to construct the proposed residential subdivision and docking facility. The DWQ has determined
that your application was incomplete and/or provided inaccurate information as discussed below. The
DWQ will require additional information in order to process your application to impact protected
wetland, streams andlor buffers on the subject property. Therefore, unless we receive the additional
information requested below, we will have to move toward denial of your application as required by 15A
NCAC 2H .0506 and 2B .0259(8) and will place this project on hold as incomplete until we receive this
additional information. Please provide the following information so that we may continue to review your
project.
Additional Information Requested:
1) Tar-Pamlico Riparian Buffer (plat)
Please provide a plat of the proposed project site indicating the location of both Zones 1 and 2 of the
Tar-Pamlico Riparian Buffer.
2) Tar-Pamlico Riparian Buffer (impacts)
-Please provide the impacts to the riparian buffer (in square footage) associated with the access to the
pier and docking facility.
-Please provide justification for fill in 404 wetlands/riparian buffer behind the breakwater in areas
indicated on Sheet 1 provided with the CAMA application. Please be aware that fill in Zone 1 of the
Tar-Pamlico Riparian Buffer requires a Major Variance from the Environmental Management
Commission.
