On November 13, 2007 the Division of Water Quality received the application package for open water impacts
for the above project. DWQ is returning the check as the fee structure for 401 Permits has changed. Please see
below and remit $240.00. You may remit an additional check for the outstanding $40, or write a new check.
® The fee for applications is $240 for projects impacting less than an acre of wetland and less than 150
linear feet of streams (whether intermittent or perennial). For projects impacting one or more acres of
wetland or 150 or more feet of streams (whether intermittent or perennial) the fee is $570.
® Water Quality Certification, See I. Processing, Item 2.. Please state which Permit (Nationwide, Regional or
General) number you intend to use. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USAGE) will direct you as to which
permit you should use. The USAGE Raleigh Regulatory Field Office number is [phone].
