Re: Withdrawal of NPDES Permit NC0003719 (issued February 1, 2024)
Dear Mr. Hendrickson:
This letter addresses NPDES permit NC0003719 issued to Alpek Polyester USA, LLC for the
Cedar Creek Site by the North Carolina Division of Water Resources (DWR) on February 1,
2024 with an effective date of April 1, 2024. DWR has determined that this permit was issued in
error. This permit is hereby withdrawn immediately, and it will not go into effect.
The administratively continued permit NC0003719 issued on June 18, 2018 and which became
effective on August 1, 2018 will remain in effect until a renewed permit is issued and takes
effect. DWR will continue to work on the permit renewal application submitted by Alpek
Polyester USA, LLC for the Cedar Creek Site. If you have any questions, please contact Mike
