Application Narrative:
Project Narrative for Barney McLaughlin located at 517 Pine Street in Beaufort,
INC.
We are proposing to dredge the existing 30'x60' wet slip to -6.0' water depth at
low tide. The existing water depth is -4.0' at low tide and more water depth is
needed for lager boats that the slip can accomodate. We also proposing a 8'x24'
roof cover over the existing dock platform to provide share for the existing
sitting area. We propose a 170' of bulkhead and 1,430sgft of pavers outside the
30' buffer. The site consists of one parcel on 0.18 acres of land. The adjacent
lot to the South is the location of townhomes owned by Turner Westward, LLC and
the adjacent lot to the North is owned by NCDOT. The dredging method will
include bucket and barge. The property is in Beaufort city limits and is zoned
