Stormwater Sample Tier 1 Exceedance Report
Dear DEMLR Stormwater Program:
This letter is to complete the required sample exceedance notifications as outlined in Part F,
Sect. F-7 of the NPDES permit for our Jamestown Quarry located at 5725 Riverdale Drive in
Jamestown,NC. I have attached the Stormwater Sample Exceedance Report for the first quarter
2024 stormwater sample which resulted in an exceedance of the Turbidity baseline.

Date sample was collected: January 25, 2024
Outfall location: Outfall #2- Stormwater
Benchmark Parameter Exceeded:
• Turbidity— 120 NTU (Tier 1 Exceedance for Turbidity benchmark of 50 NTU)
Date of Lab Results: January 30, 2024
Date of Stormwater Management Inspection: January 31, 2024
Personnel in attendance: Ryan Balint—Plant Manager, Jamestown Quarry
Inspection Observations: Maintenance needed at inlets of basin.
Proposed Actions: Provide maintenance at inlet of basin and upstream to provide better
treatment of stormwater runoff. Provide pretreatment areas upstream of basin to provide better
treatment of stormwater runoff.
Date Actions Implemented: Completed by the end of March 2024.
