Re: Benchmark Exceedance for General Motors Plant 9,COC No, NCG030725
Mr. Eplin:
On February 23,2024,General Motors Plant 9 collected Stormwater samples in accordance with General
Permit No.NCG030000. The analytical results were received on March 11, 2024,which indicated a
single benchmark exceedance for pH.
Outfall 001—pH:9.59 SU
This communication is to notify the Regional Office of the exceedance,as required in Section E-5(a)of
the permit. We are currently working on a Tier One response for this single benchmark exceedance.
I certify, under penalty of law,that this document and all attachments were prepared under my
direction or supervision in accordance with a system designed to assure that qualified personnel
properly gather and evaluate the information submitted. Based on my inquiry of the person or persons
who manage the system,or those persons directly responsible for gathering the information,the
information submitted is,to the best of my knowledge and belief,true,accurate,and complete. I am
aware that there are significant penalties for submitting false information, including the possibility of
fines and imprisonment for knowing violations.
