Given the plan as described I am not concerned about drainage of wetland A or Stream B in this case. However, the borrow area is proposed to be placed directly bordering an on-site stream mitigation site (Mitigation Site 4). More detail is required to determine potential impacts of the borrow area on the mitigation site, including showing the boundary of the borrow area in relation to the boundary of the protected mitigation Right-of- Way. Does the Stream SA location as shown on all Figures reflect the old stream location, or the new stream location post-mitigation? How will the grading of the borrow area along the mitigation site boundary compare to the new grade of the finished mitigation site? Will the skimmer basin discharge directly into the mitigation site? Generally, the Corps recommends placing as much buffer between the borrow area and the mitigation site as possible. Also, coordinate with NCDOT's on-site mitigation group, since they are most directly responsible for on-site mitigation success; please copy me on their response for my records. If you have any questions please let me know. -Dave Bailey David E. Please see the attached with the clarifier from Michael Wood below. This is another borrow site with a similar approach as the one on Huffine Mill Road. Please let me know your thoughts, if they are good to go, if you need a site visit, etc. Thanks so much! Nikki Nicole J. When it says see revised report, it is referring to the second report we did that was the Lateral Drainage Assessment. It begins on page 29 of the attached. So as long as Dave & Dave realize that the second report is attached, then we should be good to go. Thanks! I'm assuming this is a similar situation as to the Borrow site on Huffine Mill Rd? The report refers to "a revised report" which I'm not sure I have (the attached is all Brian sent me). If there is a revised report, can you send it to me? Is there any additional information that you have? I'm thinking, based upon what I read, that I'll need to send this to Dave Bailey and Dave Wanucha to get their buy in on it (just like Huffine Mill). Thanks! Nik Nicole J.
