1 am sending this notice in response to NOV 2024-LVo063, where the Town of Jackson experienced
average monthly exceedance of 241,666.67 gallons of inflow averaged out for the month of April (ending
April 30") through its sanitary collection system.. The Town had I I days that exceeded it's permitted daily
inflow into its Pumping station located on Depot St in our town. This was in response to 10.5 inches of
rainfall during the month. The Town also had to deal with a heavy grease build up on the 12"', in the
pumping station that was addressed and cleaned out ,that also may have effected the meter readings at the
pump station. The Town's W WTF spray field system was only able to, by permit, spray 13 days at the
facility. The Town sprayed that month 2,500,600 gallons for an average of 192,354 gals a day.
The Town has worked to address it's I & I issues over time to improve the efficiency of our system and will
continue to do so. The Town is working with Northampton County, as the County has obtained State Grant
Funds for sewer infrastructure to accommodate two new schools, a Teachers for America Housing facility
and a new Courthouse. The County will be working with the Town to upgrade our system to allow the
County to expand these projects and in the process expand our Sewer System Treatment Facilities.

improve our sewer system.
Also for your information, the Town will be hiring a new ORC for our Sewer System, Waste Water
Collections and Sprayfield Facility. This will take place March 18"' 2024. The Town of course will properly
send the State notification and documentation in regards to the change in the ORC position.
