Hi Thomas,
Please provide an engineered design detail, profile and cross section of the proposed culvert. Also, the drawing shown
says the impact is +/- 70 feet. We will need more exact length of stream proposed to be impacted.
Please note that the application will be considered "on hold" until receipt of the above requested information

Jennifer,
Martin Marietta would like to request a modification to our existing permit, SAW2011-01934, at Hickory Quarry (See
attached). The proposed modification would impact approximately 70 linear feet of stream, associated with the
expansion of an existing stream crossing.
As shown on the attached site plan dated 2-19-2024, we are planning to add a Fines Recovery System in the area
highlighted as "Future Processing Area". This area is currently used for storage of overburden. The new process area
will be constructed on top of the stored overburden. The existing road associated with a sewer line was substantial
enough to temporarily haul overburden across the stream but will not be wide enough to safely transport material to be
processed. The plans dated 8-30-2023 show a more detailed view of where the culvert would be extended.
We are currently working on a proposed mitigation plan, but I wanted to go ahead and get this to you. Please feel free
to give me a call or email me if you have any questions.
Sue,
I will be submitting an online application for modification of a project with an existing ID in just a few minutes.
Thank you,
