On page 2 of 5 of the ASEA the proposed subject project is identified as 69 residential units at 210 GPD / RU for a total proposed flowrate of 14,490 GPD, based on the previously approved reduced flowrate for Brunswick County. However, on sheet 7 of the proposed project engineering plans the table indicates 70 residential lots for a total sanitary sewer flowrate of 14,700 GPD. Please clarify and revise. Response: The number of residential units for the subject project should be 69. The table on Sheet 7 (CU-101) was updated accordingly which now identifies a total daily flow of 14,490 gallons. 2. On sheet 8 and sheet 11 of the proposed project engineering plans at approximately Station 13+00 Red Raspberry Lane the plan view indicates a 6-inch water main crossing the proposed 3-inch pressure sewer; however, the profile view does not show the water main crossing or the required vertical separation of the two mains at the crossing point. Please revise and label. There is also a reference on these plan sheets for "wetlands" and since the proposed method of pipeline installation is directional drilling, this must be regulatory wetlands. Please confirm the appropriate permits have been or will be applied for prior to this construction. Response: The utility crossing referenced in the comment is now shown in the profile view with appropriate labels identifying the force main dip necessary to meet the required minimum separation. Please see revised Sheets 8 (CU-701) and 11 (CU-704). As for the wetland crossings, we have worked very closely with Davey Resource Group (previously Land Management Group) since 2006 on all wetland and/or stream delineations, crossings and impacts associated with this project. This time is no different. Since we are boring under the wetlands, from uplands to uplands, no wetland or stream impacts are proposed and therefore, no Section 404 permit is required. 3. On Sheet 9 of the proposed project plans at approximately Station 23+75 Fair Lakes Way there is a storm sewer crossing under the proposed 2-inch pressure sewer, however the minimum vertical separation of the crossing is not labeled. Please label. • - ©ale Crisp, PE NCDEQ - DWR 24-00015 The Bluffs on the Cape Fear-PH 6 NC0410045 Brunswick County Water System March 6 2024 Page 2 of 2 Response: The minimum vertical separation at the utility crossing is now labeled per the comment. Please see revised Sheet 9 (CU-702). 4. On sheet 10 of the proposed project plans at approximately Station 16+50 River Park Way there is a storm sewer crossing under the proposed 3-inch pressure sewer, however the minimum vertical separation of the crossing is not labeled and as shown on the profile, may not be available. Please revise and label. Response: The previous utility crossing referenced was shown incorrectly on the profile. The pressure sewer, at this location, crosses a 30"RCP outfall pipe and will require a dip. The profile was updated and is now labeled accordingly. Please see revised Sheet 10 (CU-703). 5. The LPSS and simplex pump station modeling results do not indicate the C factor utilized when conducting the project design and analysis. Please provide this information Response: A Hazen-Williams C factor of 130 was used for the modeling results provided. Sincerely, McKIM & CREED, INC. 004 s ` S AL 025503 Richard A.
