Dear Ms. Kelly:
On June 28, 2023,the City of Greensboro Stormwater Management Division completed an industrial compliance
inspection of Southeastern Foundries. Local regulations permit an inspection of industrial facilities under
authority granted by City of Greensboro Code of Ordinance Chapter 30, Article 12, Section 7.1 (C-5).This
inspection consisted of two parts: a review of the facility files/records and an on-site facility inspection.
The inspection was performed by Tiona Leach, and the following deficiencies/observations were noted during the
inspection.
Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan/Spill Plan Review
Site Maps and SWP3
• The Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan is missing the signed annual certification stating that the
facility has been tested for non-stormwater discharges.
Spill Prevention and Response Plan
• No deficiencies observed.
Monitoring
• No deficiencies observed.
Employee Training
• No deficiencies observed.
Site Inspection
Preventative Maintenance/Good Housekeeping
• Ensure that the garbage dumpster lids remain closed.

• Ensure that storm drains located near the sand silos are kept clear of debris& educate employees
that discharging into these drains is prohibited.
Non-Stormwater Discharges
• Our office recommends looking into the cause of sand discharges that appear to becoming from the
roof. Please contain this area and ensure sand does not continue to discharge into the grass/street.
It is recommended that Southeastern Foundries take appropriate actions to correct the noted deficiencies. If
