Re: Long Pond Mitigation Banking Instrument (MBI)
Long Pond Bank Parcel Credit Release — Task 6
Dear Mr. Wilkerson,
DWR Project #: 2019-1639v2
Wayne County
On December 8, 2023, the Division of Water Resources (DWR) received a Year 3 Monitoring Report
from Wildlands Holdings III, LLC (Wildlands) for the Long Pond site. Overall, site conditions were
decent, but a large portion of the site had high mortality. At the request of Wildlands, DWR assisted
Wildlands staff onsite on January 17, 2024, to observe areas that needed supplemental planting and
other adaptive management. On January 23, 2024, Wildlands submitted an adaptive management
plan along with site notes from the site visit. On February 28, 2024, Wildlands submitted
documentation to DWR that all adaptive management proposed had been fully implemented,
including the thinning of sweet gums in densely populated areas and planting the encroachment area.
DWR received a continuation certificate for performance bond (#107501178) issued to Wildlands
from Travelers Casualty and Surety Company of America, in the amount of $80,000, to cover
monitoring and maintenance at the subject site. The term of this bond ends with the approval of the
Year 4 Monitoring Report by the DWR. Future credit releases will be dependent on both the renewal
of this performance bond and the annual monitoring reports.
In accordance with the MBI, signed on December 10, 2020, the following Project Milestones have
been fully met and the corresponding credits shall be released:
Task/Milestones Credit
