Have pumped down and cleaned every 3 months (minimum). Environmental Waste # Record pump hours daily, run time not to exceed a total of 10 hrs. / Day. Gopher Utilities # Record raw influent water pH 3 days / week. (At barscreen) Record City water pH 3 days/week. Expect 8.0 su or >. Barscreen, cleaned 3 days / week, collect screenings for off -site disposal. Surge Tank (EQ), Record pH 3 days / week with goal of 7.Osu to 7.5su. Keep 30 gallon tank full (25% Caustic) and set drip rate to 50 drips per minute. Expect to use 5 gallons / week or more. Leave surge blower on 24//7/365. Diffuser valves at 100 % opened. Visually inspect belts weekly. Replace filter element every 3 months. USA Bluebook Grease monthly. Change oil every 6 months. Collect influent process control samples monthly, analyze for BOD, CBOD, NH3N and Total Phosphorus. KW Labs # Sludge, Waste 20-30 mins 5 days / week. Perform SSVS, SSV15 and SSV 30 3 days / week, with goal being one half the volume in 15 minutes. Maintain MLSS mg/l between 2800mg/l and 3500 mg/l with % solids goal of 3% to 31/2%. Split MLSS sample with Lab monthly and spin for % on -site with same using table -top centrifuge. Compare % solids to MLSS and chart comparison. Waste until full with air on. Once full record pH of digester contents. Any pH below 7.5 su gets 50 lbs. of hydrated lime mixed in for 30 minutes and rechecked. Continue until pH is above 7.5 su. Cut air off. Wait no more than 2 days for decant. If no decant by then cut air back on mix in 1 gallon Clari-Floc polymer for 30 minutes then cut air off. If still no decant call for sludge haul. Environmental Waste# DO NOT decant any water with a pH of less than 7.0 su for any reason. Decant only when on site unless using timer shut off, then not to exceed 1 hour. Digester diffuser valves remain at 50% opened. SOP Carolina Village (A working document) February 2024cont.... Aeration Basin Page 2 Aeration Basin, leave one blower in hand 24/7/365, rotating blowers 1 and 2 weekly commensurate with weekly sample collection. Check D.O. by zone 1-4, with goal being 2-3 mg/l in each. Visually inspect belts weekly Change filter elements F8-109 every 3 months USA Bluebook Grease blowers monthly and change oils every 6 months. Record pH 3 days/week with 7.5 su as goal. Spin mixed liquor sample for % solids 2 days / week Wash down basin walls and piping weekly. Use 1 gallon sprayer with 12.5 % hypo -chlorite to help control foaming as needed. All diffuser valves remain at 100 % opened. RAS, Lift air lift RAS valves at 75% opened. Chlorinate RAS with 12.5% hypo -chlorite at 5 gallons: 40 gallons water weekly. Adjust frequency and dosage concentration per weekly micro -exams to control foaming and filamentous. Clarifier, Keep water spray on stilling well 24/7/365 using effluent water pump or potable water to control foaming. Waste scum to digester through skimmer #2 diversion valve. Brush down clarifier walls, effluent weirs and trough weekly. Record sludge blanket depth and/or freeboard 3 days/week. Skimmers valves remain at 100% opened. Chlorine Tablet Feeder / Chlorine Contact Chamber, Fill 3 tubes with c12 tablets, one middle back, one side and one middle front expecting to use 60 tablets to start and refill used portions daily. Goal, 3 tubes, full always. Visually observe tablets for equal dissolving, look for "coring" and shake down as needed. Remove tubes from feeder and wash down all. Check with sludge judge for accumulation of solids in chlorine contact chamber. Once at 2ft. or above schedule pump out and cleaning. Environmental Waste D-Chlor Tablet Feeder / Final effluent box, Fill 2 tubes, one side and one middle back, expecting to use 40 tablets at start and refill used portions daily. Goal, 2 tubes, always full. Scrub tubes and feeder weekly following weekly sample with brush to remove algae etc.... Collect fecal grab sample at influent to D-Chlor tablet feeder. Wash -down sample probe and final effluent box monthly also to remove algae etc.... Page 2 SOP Carolina Village (A working document) February 2024cont.... ISCO Effluent Sampler and Chemicals Page 3 Sampler / Flow Meter, Replace sampler tubing every 2-3 months. Rinse sample jug weekly. Record Free Chlorine residual prior to D-Chlor with goal .3 to .5 mg/l when collecting effluent fecal sample. Record TRC ug/l as required by permit. Chart for correlation between pH and C12 effectiveness, % solids and settleability, aeration DO's and effluent quality, foaming and filamentous bacteria.
