HomeMy WebLinkAbout20240381 Ver 1_Email From Brookfield_20240304Kelly, Thank you for providing the Phase I application. Your next step will be to complete the NCDEQ 401 Water Quality Form for Shoreline Stabilization at the following link: https://edocs.deq.nc.gov/Forms/form/new/80. Select the Shoreline Stabilization Form under the 401 Water Quality Forms. I would do this as soon as possible as it can typically take at least 30 days to get approval from the state. Try to provide as much information as possible when submitting to minimize approval times. You will also need to contact Ms. Brooke Davis at the US Army Corps of Engineers to see what their suggested steps are for your shoreline stabilization project. You may be able to just complete a Pre -Construction Notification. Her contact details can be found on the cover sheet of Brookfield's Shoreline Stabilization application (attached here). Brookfield will followwhatever guidance the State and Army Corps suggest. Once you receive the proper 401 certifications from the state, just forward those documents along to me and you will be all set to start the project. Please let me know if you have any additional comments and I can try to be of as much help as possible on my end. Thank you for addressing the erosion. We were on site with Randall Veal last week to look at the gangway construction, and my manager was very concerned with the level of undercutting you are experiencing under your new parking feature. Thank you again and please feel free to call or email if you need anything.
