Site Inspection Deficiency Comments
Vehicle/equipment area(s)-fueling, Satisfactory Used/damaged vehicles are stored outdoors. Used vehicle
maintenance, washing, storage, etc. parts are stored indoors and washed in an indoor wash bay,
which discharges to an approximately 250-gallon wastewater
AST. The wastewater AST serves as an O/W separator and
discharges to the sanitary sewer system. No maintenance is
conducted onsite. Equipment is fueled at the diesel AST. No
stormwater pollution issues were observed.
Oil/water separator and/or Satisfactory The wastewater AST in the parts wash bay serves as an O/W
pretreatment separator and is connected to the sanitary sewer system.
According to facility personnel, the wastewater AST is
serviced by Environmental Services on an
as needed basis. No stormwater pollution issues were
observed.
Waste storage/disposal area(s)- Recommendation The facility has three general waste and two scrap metal
open tops, waste containers, scrap open top dumpsters. All the dumpsters were observed

the indoor parts bay. CMSWS recommends replacing used
and saturated booms to protect water quality.
Floor drains Satisfactory The floor drains inside the vehicle parts cleaner are
connected to the wastewater AST,which discharges to the
sanitary sewer system. No stormwater pollution issues were
observed.
Spill response equipment Recommendation Oil absorbent material was observed in a few locations but
not next to either AST. CMSWS recommends placing spill
kits next to every AST.
