And do we need to report any temporary or permanent impacts associated with those stream outlets? Both temporary and permanent impacts were reported. I am attaching the impact maps that we submitted and the PCN which has a table on page 6 of the PDF. a. I found the Reinforced Concrete Endwall detail on C-141, where is that utilized? All storm outlets, the wetland outlet, and the overall water piping outlet? Do those all outlet at the streambed elevation, or will any of those outlet further up the bank? We intend for the headwalls to sit at the edge of the water and at an elevation that we utilize the flow in the stream to dissipate the flow from the pipe. This is described in section 4, i of the PCN form (attached). 2 b. What about the recirc pipe? The way that one is shown it almost looks like it just daylights, but we probably need to do something to protect against erosion there. This will discharge out of the wall immediately below the intake into the area of the stream that appears to be a minimum of 3’ deep, even at low flows. I was planning to utilize a turned down elbow at this location. 2) I think we’ve talked about this before but want to make sure we’re thinking about it right. There is some concern about the sediment filtration and making sure it is released before it builds up too much and we send a big batch of sediment out all at once. Will the flushing of the vortex units be an automated system or will we have to have someone go up there and tell it to flush manually? And I’m assuming if it’s automated that we could set it to run as frequently, or with whatever amount of sediment (if it’s some sort of sensor system), as we want correct? The system will be automated to turn on and discharge sediment based off of sediment level, a time cycle, or manually. I would envision it primarily running off of sediment level with a minimum of a couple of cycles per day no matter what. I think this setup will mimic the natural flow of sediment in the stream. 3) They wanted a little breakdown of where stormwater is going, are the below boundaries about right? And the proposed wetland is designed to treat the increase in impervious area from the existing to the proposed correct? Your drainage areas below are very close. Yes, we are treating for the increase in impervious area. Additionally, here is the clip showing where the sediment filter will empty, and where the recirculation pipe will outlet. 3 And this one shows the proposed concrete endwall that will be used. 4 Let me know if that answers the questions we discussed, or if you need more information on any of them. Thanks!
