General NPDES Permit Information ➢ The Wastewater Treatment Plant continued to operate under the NPDES discharge permit effective May 1, 2022. ➢ The permit contains a 3-year compliance schedule for copper. Monthly monitoring indicates that the plant is already compliant with the limit. B. General Program Information ➢ There were no new permits or permit applications in 2023. ➢ The single existing CIU remained permitted with the town. ➢ STMP monitoring was conducted in March of 2023. ➢ No wastewater treatment plant NPDES non-compliance events due to industrial users occurred in 2023. C. Industrial User and Compliance Information: Matlab, Inc. (IUP # 0002) ➢ This CIU performed all flow sampling and reporting as required. ➢ The CIU was inspected once and sampled twice by the POTW. The POTW monitoring of the industry in June and December included STMP parameters for the HWA. Data for routine and these additional parameters are summarized in the IDSF. Additionally, the POTW monitored the industry for PFAS/PFOS compounds, and the data are included in a summary table in Appendix A of this report. ➢ The CIU provided the permit required/allowed certifications for the alternative to monitoring for Cyanide, Silver and TTO testing. ➢ The CIU remained compliant with its IUP throughout 2023. NOTE: This page was corrected 2/28/23 to add frequency of POTW monitoring for all parameters. This was inadvertently missed in the original version of the EL&MR. No other changes were made to the IUP. 7 3 2 14, s a u r Where Family and Friends Meet Appendix A: PFAS/PFOS Monitoring IUP 0002 Appendix A MATLAB PFAS/PFOS MONTORING 2023 Sample Date 6/22123 Sample Date 12/21/23 Compound CAS Industrial Dischar e n /L Industrial Dischar e n /L Acids PFBA 375-22-4 <LOD (0.228) U <MDL (0.18) P F PeA 2706-90-3 1.20 1.7 PFHxA 307-24-4 0.87 1.8 PFHpA 375-85-9 0.89 1.3 PFOA 335-67-1 1.83 2.6 PFNA 375-95-1 0.341 J 0.59 PFDA 335-76-2 <LOD (0.164) U 0.29 PFUnDA 2058-94-8 <LOD (0.130) U <MDL (0.14) U PFDoDA 307-55-1 <LOD (0.234) U <MDL (0.098) U PFTrDA 72629-94-8 <LOD (0.190) U <MDL (0.18) U PFTeDA 376-06-7 <LOD (0.219) U <MDL (0.17) U Sulfonates PFBS 375-73-5 0.435 J 0.9 PFPeS 2706-91-4 <LOD (0.118) U <MDL (0.055) U PFHxS 355-46-4 <LOD (0.444) U 0.46 PFHpS 375-92-8 <LOD (0.278) U <MDL (0.045) U PFOS 1763-23-1 1.98 2.4 PFNS 68259-12-1 <LOD (0.178) U <MDL (0.11) U PFDS 335-77-3 <LOD (0.302) U <MDL (0.13) U 4:2 FTS 757124-72-4 <LOD (0.289) U <MDL (0.25) U 6:2 FTS 27619-97-2 <LOD (0.0746) U <MDL (0.27) U 8:2 FTS 39108-34-4 <LOD (0.271) U <MDL (0.072) U Sulfonamidos N-EtFOSA 4151-50-2 <LOD (0.356) U <MDL (0.36) U N-EtFOSAA 2991-50-6 <LOD (0.234) U <MDL (0.1) U N-ETOSE 1691-99-2 <LOD (0.880) U <MDL (0.92) U N-McFOSA 31506-32-8 <LOD (0.237) U <MDL (0.41) U N-McFOSAA 2355-31-9 <LOD (0.161) U <MDL (0.092) U N-McFOSE 24448-09-7 <LOD (0.546) U <MDL (0.88) U PFOSA 754-91-6 <LOD (0.0807) U <MDL (0.091) U PFECAs ADONA 919005-14-4 <LOD (0.156) U <MDL (0.11) U HFPO-DA 13252-t3-6 <LOD (0.0609) U <MDL (0.15) U NFDHA 151772-58-6 <LOD (0.121) U <MDL (0.26) U PFMOBA 863090-89-5 <LOD (0.965) U <MDL (0.079) U PFMOPrA 377-73-1 <LOD (0.205) U <MDL (0.047) U PFESAs 11C1-PF3OUdS 763051-92-9 <LOD (0.271) U <MDL (0.18) U 9CI-PF30NS 756426-58-1 <LOD (0.368) U <MDL (0.18) U PFEESA 113507-82-7 <LOD (0,173) U <MDL (0.095) U FTCAs 3:3 FTCA 356-02-5 <LOD (3.59) U <MDL (0.5) U 5:3 FTCA 914637-49-3 <LOD (0.278) U <MDL (0.39) U 7:3 FTCA 812-70-4 <LOD (0,185) U <MDL (0.48) U Qualifiers J -The analyte has a concentration below the minimum calibration level (LOQ value) but greater than the LOD.
