RE: Land application of residuals in Robeson County
Please consider this a formal notification of Synagro's plans to land apply residuals from the
City of Lumberton's Water Treatment Plant and Wastewater Treatment Plant onto sites
owned by F.K. Biggs, R.G. Hammonds, Jennings Hayes, Alfred M. Pittman, and Roland
Pittman. Detailed information for the sites is on an additional sheet.
This notification is in accordance with the City of Lumberton's Land Application of Residual
Solids Permit (Number WQ0000672), issued by NCDENR/DWQ. Section II.15. states, "The
Aquifer Protection Section of the appropriate Division's regional office shall be notified at
least 24 hours prior to the initial residuals land application event on any new land application
site."
