NCO023981 I11 12I 24/02/06 117 18 i c i Section D: Summary of Finding/Comments (Attach additional sheets of narrative and checklists as necessary) Rachel Rose and Mara Chamlee, with the Asheville Regional Office (ARO), met with Donnie Hawkins (ORC, City of Lenoir) and Lisa Triplett (Superintendent, City of Lenoir) to conduct a Compliance Evaluation Inspection on February 06, 2024 of the Lower Creek WWTP. This inspection was conducted to determine whether the facility is being operated and maintained in compliance with NPDES Permit No. NC0023981. The following items were noted during the inspection: 1. Influent Pump Station: The influent pump station consists of two larger pumps and two smaller pumps. The smaller pumps are used for regular flow and the larger pumps are used when there are high influent flow events. The system currently doesn't have high water floats, but instead uses an air compressor sensor to measure the level in the wet well. The SCADA telemetry system adequately monitors and alerts for the level of the pump station. 2. Influent Sampling: The temperature is currently being measured by the composite sampler thermometer. It is suggested to have a separate thermometer inside the composite sampler to measure the temperature.
