• 10/4/23 TFC non -compliant for copper.
• 10/4/23 POTW split sample, also non -compliant for copper.

• 10/31/23 POTW conducted an annual inspection at Tryon Finishing Corporation.
• POTW Advertised Public Notices in local paper for Copper Violations for periods January — June

Dear Ms. Bradley:
Thank you for taking the time to meet with me and Melanie Kemp at our plant in Tryon last month. As
discussed, our company's current water flow into the Town of Tryon wastewater system is significantly
lower than the permitted amount of up to 175,000 gallons per day.
We would like to request a decrease in the amount of allowed flow along with an increase in the
allowable amount of copper. As such, we would like to request that our maximum allowable flow rate
be decreased by 50% to 87,500 gallons per day, and that the maximum allowable amount of copper
tested be increased to 1.0 mg/liter. Per the allocation table you provided to Deborah, this would still
leave more than 40% of Tryon's MAIL and MAHL still available.
