Cheng, I wanted to get in touch regarding the Inspection letter we received last month for NC00089702, which raises three concerns under item 5. Those concerns and an update regarding those are listed below: • "The effluent flow meter has not been calibrated since it was installed in 2018. Permit requires that the flow meter be calibrated at least once a year." o Brightleaf on Main is currently in discussion with PRM to have the flow meter replaced. The replacement meter will come with QA/QC documentation that we can provide once the meter has been installed. The decision to replace the flow meter is based on the lower cost of replacement versus recalibration. To our knowledge, there are no issues with the meter. • "There is an overflow pipe in the sump, water flows through the pipe would bypass the treatment system. This pipe needs to be plugged/sealed." o Brightleaf on Main maintenance personnel have been instructed to seal the overflow pipe. • "It was unknown whether the telemetry unit at the sump/vault was operational or not. Please verify the status of the telemetry." o We have confirmed that the telemetry unit is operational. PRM has been instructed to update contact information within the telemetry system to notify Brightleaf on Main personnel if there are issues with the dewatering system. Please let us know if you require additional information from us. Thank you Mid Atlantic Kevin R.
