Dear Mayor Slagle:
The Construction Grants and Loans Section: of the Division of Waier Quality hits
completed its review of the City of Jacksonville's Engineering and Environmental Assessment
Report, The project consists of an upgrade and expansion of the existing land application
treatment system from 6.0 MGD to 9.0 MGD_ These improvements will include upgrades and
expansions of the city's main pumping station, aerated lagoon was[c:water treatment system,
storage lagoons, and the spray ittigadon system. The capacity of the e>Gistin~- treatment and
spray irrigation system will be increased by adding a third train to the aeratedlagaon treatment
system, constructing a new 370 MG treated wastewater storage lagoon, and expanding the spray
irrigation area from approximately 1,980 wetted acres to approximately 2,400 wetted acres.
The subject City of Jacksonville Engineering and Environmentitl A.ssessme:nt Report is
hereby approved.
