Date AreemAan Joe NARRATIVE GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION Industrial Waste Control Pretreatment program organization consist of one Supervisor, one Sr. Chemist who over sees compliance and data entry. One FOG Compliance Officer who manages over 1,000 Food Service Establishments. The program has three inspectors who are responsible for site sampling and inspections. Data is reviewed and discussed daily with all members of the program to address and inform our customers. GENERAL PERMIT INFORMATION Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Utilities operates the Industrial Waste Control (IWC) Pretreatment program under the guidance of Joel Freeman in compliance with 15A NCAC 02H.0908(f). [I5ANCAC 02.0908(f); 40 CFR 403.12(o)]. In 2023 there were two (2) SIU Permit renewals. The program has 27 Significant Industrial Users with 10 of the users being Categorical. All inspections and sampling were completed in 2023. All violations were addressed to the industries. IWC continues to use Linko as its server to track, monitor, and log industrial data. Renewals: There were two (2) SIU Permit renewals effective 2023. 1. Ardagh Metal Packaging, USA Corp #3010 2. WestRock CP. LLC #3041 New Permits: There were no new IUP issued in 2023 Modifications: Permit Company Permit State Approval Name Information Date #1191 Ardagh Metal Changes in sampling point. October 5, 2023 Packa in #3041 WestRock Use of pretreatment system was omitted October 24, 2023 in initial renewal. AUTHORIZATION TO CONSTRUCT No authorization to constructs were issued in 2023 2 SPECIAL SIU COMMENTS Industrial Waste Control continues to work in partnership with industries gathering manufacturing information to better protect the POTW and receiving streams.
