The purpose of the evaluation was to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in NPDES Permit NC0021920. Brandon Rich, operator and Pretreatment Coordinator, was present during the inspection. This 3 MG treatment plant is a Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) oxidation ditch system that discharges to the White Marsh, a class C-Swamp water in the Lumber River Basin. Currently, the flow averages approximately 1.4 MG. The faility appears to be well maintained and operated. All records were readily available for review. An inspection of the laboratory was completed recently by the Division's Laboratory Certification staff. A review of records of the past 5 years show no effluent limit violations and a Notice of Deficiency issued for the 2/18/2020 inspection. The facility is compliant with NPDES Permit NC0021920.
