NARRATIVE SUMMARY
GENERAL INFORMATION:
GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION:
During the reporting period, the Town of Rutherfordton modified the Long Term
(Headworks) Monitoring Plan to include monitoring for silver and nitrate based on
the requirements of the reissuance of the NPDES Permit. The POTW did not modify
any of the other Pretreatment Program elements. A copy of the "Pretreatment
Program Info Database"is attached with no noted corrections.
GENERAL PERMIT INFORMATION:
The Industrial User Permit issued to the only SIU was renewed in 2023. The IUP
was issued with an effective date of January 1, 2024. The Permit was approved by
the NCDEQ by letter dated November 14, 2023.
SIU INFORMATION:
1. Aallied Die Casting (0003)
SIGNIFICANT NONCOMPLIANCE (SNC) INFORMATION:
No SNC Events
OTHER INFORMATION:
Aallied Die Casting did not violate any permit limitation or condition. Both
Aallied and the POTW completed the Permit required monitoring. Unlike
previous reporting periods, Aallied Die Casting did have a discharge event
during this reporting period. The discharge event occurred on during the
month of January, 2023. They had to repair a cooling tower which caused
them to discharge to the POTW.
The POTW completed the required annual inspection.
