The purpose of this revision was to amend our findings based on the recently installed piezometer readings. FIELD TESTING On September 15, 2023, ECS conducted an exploration of the subsurface soil conditions, in accordance with the NCDEQ Stormwater Design Manual Section A-2, at the requested location (HA-01) as shown on the attached Boring Location Plan (Appendix A). ECS used hand-held GPS equipment to locate the boring in the field. ECS explored the subsurface soil conditions by installing a piezometer to a depth of 20 feet below existing grade surface and monitoring the readings for 48-hours to obtain a stabilized groundwater reading. The evidence of groundwater was not present in this area at the time of exploration or during the monitoring period. Based on our experience and the additional information obtained, it is likely the SHWT is much deeper than 20 feet below existing grade surface. In addition to our SHWT determination, an in-situ CCHP test was performed to determine the saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ksat) value for the given locations. A summary of our findings is provided in the table below. The discovery of any site or subsurface conditions during construction which deviate from the data outlined in this exploration should be reported to us for our review, analysis and revision of our recommendations, if necessary. The assessment of site environmental conditions for the presence of pollutants in the soils and groundwater of the site is beyond the scope of this geotechnical exploration. We appreciate the opportunity to work with you during this phase of the project. Please contact us if you have any questions or need additional information or services.
