Doug,
The pipe extension profile is shown on Sheet 11. Our original submittal had 55 linear feet because that was the original
length we were adding to the end of the existing pipe. Since then, we have determined that +/-20' of the existing CMP is
rusted/rotted so we are removing and replacing it also. The total length of proposed pipe is as follows:
1. Total length of new RCP = 73.5
2. Total length of new RCP End Section = 8
3. Total length of new rip rap outfall = 12
When added all up, that's 93.5 feet of new construction. However, keep in mind that we are removing 20 of exiting
storm pipe in that construction meaning we will only be disturbing 73.5 feet of existing delineated stream.
Grading will be done above the ordinary high water mark. Notes have been added on the profiles shown on Sheets 11
and 12 to state the streambed is to be left undisturbed. Note # 10 was added to the Construction Sequence on Sheet #9
(see attached). New grading is also proposed above the new section of pipe. That's shown in the plan view on Sheet 11.

Hey Dave,
Thanks for sending this over. I wanted to clarify a few things. What are the exact length and width of the culvert
extension that is being proposed? In the PCN that was submitted you have 55 linear feet but in our conversation the
other day I believe I recall you talking about 70+ linear feet. Similarly, is grading on the banks, 1)being done above the
ordinary high water mark and 2) being done on top of the culvert?
It seems that, according to the designs you provided, that you'll be stopping grading right at the power line ROW, so you
should not need to do any surveys for Schweinitz's Sunflower. Also, based on the photos you provided, the vegetation
looks to be too thick for Dwarf -flowered Heartleaf to be in that stretch of stream bank, so you should be good there as
well.
Let me know,

As discussed during our conversation yesterday, here are the updated drawings that will hopefully give you a better idea
on our proposed intentions for this project. There are some minor revisions to take place based on Erosion Control
comments, but they should not change the scope of the overall work.
Let us know if you have any questions.
