Hey Sue,
Generally State Parks tries to work in the dry when possible or at least in the driest conditions reasonable. If the stream is
not dry, straw waddles are placed on the upstream and downstream to prevent sediment loss. Stream work such as the
ones in this project are completed relatively quickly and the contractor must have the work done either same day or at
least have the site properly stabilized prior to leaving the job site. All four of these streams are small and are intermittent
so we do not anticipate having to pump around work taking place. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank You.
Justin

Subject: Hanging Rock SP Mountain Bike Trail 401 application
Hello Justin,
In reviewing the PCN for this project I have one quick question. Our GC3890 requires that all work to install the crossings
are done "in the dry" (see attached GC, Item 6). 1 need to clarify that SP intends to work in the dry via pump around or
other diversion methods, or you need to request an exemption from this condition and provide a justification for the
exemption.
Please let me know if you have any questions about this.
Thanks,
