How many structures in total will need to be installed? 18 permanent casing and 6 templets to install. Before this work can start we have to finish installation of the work bridge and remove the existing piles from the river, which we anticipate finishing prior to the moratorium starting. 2. What is the method of installation — pile driving or vibratory? Vibratory 3. What is the anticipated amount of time for installing each structure? Anticipate 3 templets every 2 days (1.5 per day), one Bent of permanent casings (3 casings) per day. 4. How many structures will be installed in a day and what is the time interval between each? Three casings, one every 2.5 to 3 hours. Driving time should not exceed 30 mins each, remaining time will be set up and material staging. Chris, I have some of the same questions. Primarily of the 8 piles and 6 casing listed below can we get a better idea of what will be remaining after February 15? I know from experience that this section of river is heavily utilized by shad during this time frame. Thanks for any additional information you can provide. USACE Action ID: SAW-2018-01119 DWR Project No.: 20210955 Good afternoon, I thought it would save time to include Travis on the initial request for his thoughts/decision. Please let me know if this request needs to be submitted through Laserfiche, I'll be happy to do so. The contractor is not going to make the February 15 date for having in -water work completed. Though it is possible they may finish with a two week variance, we are requesting a three week variance, allowing in -water to continue until March 7. In the last few weeks, multiple weather events caused river level rise and has slowed progress on the job within water work. They currently have the main line of the temp trestle installed and are working on the fingers. At the current rate, they should have all the fingers in, much of the existing bridge demo done, with setting the permanent casings to remain at February 15 mark. If we cannot get all the permanent cans installed for the drilled shafts, the project basically will be at a standstill until they are able to resume bridge construction once moratorium ends. The following is the remaining in -water work that needs to be completed. • Complete Finger 1—two piles and one section of bridge remains to be installed • Complete Finger 2—two piles and one section of bridge remains to be installed • Complete Finger 3 —two piles and one section of bridge remains to be installed • Complete Finger 4—four piles and three section of bridge remains (working on one section today) • Removal of existing bridge caps and piles • Install permanent casings for Piers 1— 6 • Install templet for permanent casings 1— 6 Please let me know if you have any questions or need any additional information.
