Art,
I've reviewed the info below and added responses to your questions below.
Attached is the site plan from the approved permit drawings, the 202 LF of 24' encasement pipe (open cut) is not
depicted at Permit Site 2. The proposed shift (red line) would be a parallel impact in Buffer Zone 1 and would require
additional justification for approval as outlined in the Jordan Lake Buffer Rules -Table of Uses, Page 16 (attached).
I'd recommend evaluation of options for installation which are located outside of the stream buffer.
Let me know what additional assistance I can provide.

Rya n,
I need to ask a question.
Please see the attached plan drawing showing the relocation of the proposed 24 inch non-JS drainage pipe (new location
in red) to eliminate a conflict with the proposed pedestrian culvert. The pipe is being moved by 12 ft. from buffer zone 2
into buffer zone 1.
My question is does the placement of the pipe in the buffer area matter in a case like this when the adjacent stream that
requires the buffer is inside of a culvert? Yes, a buffer would still be required from the stream. Have the buffer impacts
already been accounted for with the permit for the culvert? The Zone 2 Buffer impacts for the 202LF of encasement
pipe (open cut) do not appear to have been included in the previous modification.
Thanks,
